Experience enchanted emerald forests, ascending rocky trails and azure sea waves on our journey into Croatian inland. Country`s mountain tracks are breathtakingly beautiful and mostly easy to drive, at the same time offering a pinch of adrenaline for newbie off–roaders and overlanders who intend to have a more relaxed experience. This tour can be perfectly combined with a seaside holiday on the beautiful beaches of Croatia.

Nature:
Our tour begins in Slovenia, at the campsite where we meet and get acquainted with each other over dinner. Next morning, we head towards the Croatian border, where our 4x4 adventure begins. We drive the eastern part of Istria along the Slovenian border and further towards Velebit and Paklenica National Park. Easily negotiable Croatian gravel roads leave plenty of opportunities to enjoy the majestic landscape – mountain valleys under the sapphire sky and sculpture – like karst rock formations. There will be plenty of photo stop opportunities – especially as we reach the glorious vista of Kvarner Bay, with its multitude of islands scattered in the waves. We will also get to know a thing or two about Croatian history as we criss-cross tracks of Winnetou Land.

Living conditions:
On this six-day trip over fascinating forest routes and stony high-altitude trails, from the Slovenian border to Winnetou Land, we stay three times on official campsites with showers and toilets and bivouac four times on wild camp sites.
Driving conditions:
Due to the nature of this trip, participation is possible with a standard SUV or off-road vehicle with all-wheel drive and reduction gears as well as all-terrain tyres. No special equipment is required.
